Our voting period for our state’s March 10th Presidential Primary is already underway. If you have not received your vote by mail ballot, call King County Elections at 206-296-VOTE (8683). Washington shares March 10th as our presidential primary date with Idaho, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, and North Dakota.
Speaking of our Presidential Primary, remind your friends, family, and co-workers that they need to pick a party and sign their envelope for their vote to count.
Ballots must be mailed or dropped in an official Ballot Drop Box on or before March 10th. Within the 46th District, there is a staffed and accessible voting center at the Kenmore City Hall, and locations of King County Election ballot drop boxes can be found here: Click for Drop Boxes
The Maggie Awards are coming up March 7th
The Washington State Democrats are hosting the single biggest event in Washington State Democratic Party history and we want to make sure you are there!
Thanks to our new presidential primary on Tuesday, March 10th, Washington will play a major role in deciding our Democratic nominee for the first time in history. This means every major presidential campaign sees Washington as a top priority and we expect each campaign and candidate to be right here speaking to voters in the days leading up to the primary. And the State Party is holding a huge event that weekend to bring together every single Democrat in Washington.
This year’s dinner will be on Saturday, March 7th, 2020, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle. Highlights will include:
- Hear directly from Washington State elected officials including Governor Jay Inslee, Representatives Pramila Jayapal and Suzan DelBene and many more – as well as surprise guests from the national scene! (and this close to the Presidential Primary, you know what THAT means…!!!)
- A celebration of top Democratic elected officials and grassroots champions in the form of the annual Warren G. Magnuson Awards.
If you already know that you can/will join us, RSVP online here (and be sure to let them know your table captain is the 46th LD Democrats!). Tickets cost $125, and the link to purchase is right here:
Would you like to volunteer for the Maggies?
If the price tag is too steep for tickets, another way to attend is to volunteer to work the event. The 2020 Magnuson Awards will be on Saturday, March 7th at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle. The State Party is looking for volunteers who can commit to helping with the event from 3:00pm - 9:00pm that day. They should expect to dress neatly (business or cocktail attire, but wear comfortable shoes) and we will feed volunteers a delicious plated dinner. Volunteers will help with event tasks like staffing registration, ushering guests, and setting up the ballroom area with programs, donation forms, and the like.
If you would like to volunteer to work the event, please send a message to [email protected], and we will forward your info to the State Party!
Membership 2020: Thank YOU to everyone who has renewed for 2020! With your help, we will beat Trump and help races up and down the ballot!
