March 18th, we will be embarking on a great experiment - can we maintain our 46th District Democratic community via the internet and online meetings during this time of social distancing to combat COVID-19?
We are all about to find out!
Last week, I shared that following the recommendations of Public Health Seattle-King County we cancelled the in-person version of our Wednesday, March 18th general meeting, and are moving it online.
If you would like to join the online meeting, these are the details:
You will note that the meeting program starts at 7:00pm, just like our regular meetings, but you can join the feed as early as 6:15pm to test your connection. A member of the Executive Board will be online to greet you and assist.
If this is your first Zoom meeting, it will take a few minutes to set up on your computer, so you might want to log on at 6:30 or so.

We continue to encourage everyone to read and follow the Public Health Seattle-King County recommendations in order to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community and reduce the number of people infected.
We have started a resource page for COVID-19 crisis information and resources, from links to Public Health agencies, unemployment benefits and other financial relief, to fun online classes for the kiddos - mark this page, as you may find these links useful!
And Public Health Seattle-King County is still the best resource on coronavirus and COVID-19 information. They update their page multiple times daily:
We should also note that the in-person Legislative District caucus scheduled for April 26th, has been moved online. There will be no in-person LD Caucuses for this year. You will all receive more information on this change in the next week, as we learn more about the exact online procedures from the state Democratic Party.
A note: Blood is still very much needed, and stocks are very low. If you are well and healthy, please consider donating blood this week. click for Bloodworks Northwest
We'll be posting new news and Democratic announcements twice a week during this challenging period - let us know if there's anything you would like to learn more about at [email protected]
