With summer winding down, it's time for our post-Primary endorsement meeting for the General Election - don't forget to bring a friend!
We also have a pair of very special guest speakers this month:
1st District Congressmember Suzan DelBene
King County Assessor John Arthur Wilson
Endorsements in August?
Our endorsed candidates did very well in the primary, and in all races at least one of our endorsed candidates has moved through to the General Election. However, we have an additional Seattle School Board race on the November ballot (SPS D6 in West Seattle) to consider, as well as Initiative 1000 (Ref 88).
So join us for the General Meeting Wednesday, August 21st, 7:00pm:
Environmental Caucus meets at 5:30pm - same location.
We will have social hour for meeting, greeting and eating starting at 6:30pm, and the meeting will start at 7:00pm Pacific time. We will be gathering at the Elliott Bay Brewery, in the downstairs Cascade meeting room. (location details below)
Key Items on the Agenda:
- King County Assessor John Arthur Wilson
- Endorsements for the General Election (in races with no previously endorsed candidate or position on a measure)
- Presentation from Whole Washington on health care
- Resolution supporting I-1000
